What are the main benefits of using an NCCA member?
NCCA Members are fully trained and insured for the work that they carry out. They are members of the only National Trade Association dedicated to carpets and upholstery cleaning. A careful inspection will be made of your carpets and upholstery so that the operator will be aware of the nature of the dyes and the type of fibre and construction. Then the security of the fixing of the carpet at its edges and the condition of the seams will be inspected. In the case of upholstery, a check on braids and other trimmings will be made so that you may have every confidence that your valuable carpets and furnishings will be cleaned and cared for in the most professional manner.
What are the main benefits of using an IICRC member?
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the Industry Guardian for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organisation, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries. To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status businesses must demonstrate certain criteria and attend ongoing IICRC approved training courses. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics.
Spot The Difference are also trained to work with leather and are members of the LTT – Leather Training and Technical.
Why is regular professional cleaning necessary?
Just as the clothes we wear need regular washing to keep them fresh and hygienic, so carpets and upholstered furniture require periodic cleaning. Accumulated soil and grit are major causes of reduced carpet and fabric life, and enable destructive and health harmful mites and bacteria to work unchecked. Cleaning costs are minimal when you consider the replacement costs of carpets and furnishings, so regular cleaning makes economic sense too.
On-site carpet cleaning
We ensure that the carpets are correctly fitted, and that any possible problems, such as weak or damaged seams, are pointed out to you, and any remedial work arranged before work starts. The area concerned should be as clear as practical, and left clear until the carpet is dry. Drying times vary with the type of carpet, the method used and the weather, but we can give you an accurate assessment at the time.
